  • To promote the responsible maturation of youth through the game of soccer

Seasons and Practices

Practice is usually one and a half to two hours long depending on the skills being taught.  Recreation League practices are held once a week for approximately 60-90 minutes.  There is a fall and spring season for Rec teams 4-17 years of age.  All games utilize paid referees.

Select League (Academy, Challenge and Classic) practices are usually held two times a week with additional practices when tournaments are the focus of individual teams.  Failure to attend practice results in loss of playing time in the advanced leagues.  A commitment to these leagues means that the soccer player views practice as a vital part of the development of the player and the team.   Select League Practices are usually held two times a week with additional practices when tournaments are the focus of the individual teams. Competitive Tryouts

Competitive tryouts are held in May for all Select League players. Tryouts are usually arranged on two consecutive nights, depending on the team, and players are expected to attend 100% of the tryouts. Players who do not make the team of their choice are encouraged to work on their skills and return the next year.

Team Formation

Existing teams may select new players. Returning players are not protected by their current team status, and must regain the position on the team by completing tryouts in the form of the league guidelines. The KSA coaches are committed to the concept that hard work and dedication in a challenging environment with the correct emotional support are the ingredients for successful soccer.

Estimated Cost

The fees for the Academy, Challenge and Classic Leagues vary because of the choices of tournaments and range of travel decided by the majority members of the team.
